What do they do?
When you step on the brake pedal when you're driving, the brake caliper compresses the brake pads against each side of the brake rotor. The friction that this causes slows your vehicle down.
Brake pads require friction to allow for them to deliver the safe, smooth stopping performance without creating excessive noise.
Why service them?
Brake pads are the part of your braking system that actually causes for the vehicle to slow down. Brake pads are designed to wear with use, and will wear at differing rates depending on usage, mileage, and load sizes.
Brakes are also subjected to the worst elements on the roat which can cause them to rust, or corrode which can cause vibration, pulling, or abnormal noises.
When to service?
Brake pads should be replaced according to Audi's factory-recommended maintenance schedule. Consult with your service Advisor at Audi oakville to schedule a brake pad replacement to reduce premature wear, and abnormal braking application before it becomes a larger issue.
If you are noticing issues with your braking performance, see your Audi dealer immediately.
Audi genuine brake pads are engineered to match your vehicle's factory specification, which provide ideal braking performance and Audi reliability.
